Welcome Back from Spring Break!

Community  /  Parents  /  Students

We hope you had a wonderful and restful spring break. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, here are some important updates and reminders for our David Douglas families.

Attendance Matters

Every school day is an opportunity for students to learn, grow, and build connections with their teachers and peers.

Chronic absenteeism—missing 10% or more of school days—can have a lasting impact on a student’s ability to succeed academically. Research shows that consistent attendance supports stronger reading skills, better performance in middle school, and higher graduation rates in high school.

As long as your student is healthy, please encourage them to attend school every day. If your child is experiencing challenges related to illness, anxiety, or other concerns that make attending difficult, reach out to your school for support. We are here to help.

Please visit our attendance page for more information.

Stay Connected with ParentSquare

David Douglas School District uses ParentSquare for school and district-wide communications. This platform provides a secure way for principals, teachers, and staff to connect with families via email, text, and phone.

Calendar & Important Dates

As we approach the last months of the school year, be sure to review the school year calendar for bell schedules, early release days, and upcoming events. Staying informed helps students and families plan ahead for a successful finish to the year!
