Community Sports & Recreation

As per Governor Brown’s declaration guidelines, all Community Sports and Recreation have been cancelled until further communication becomes available.

Community Sports Football Registration

Dear Football Families, Due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, football registration will be on hold until further notice. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Suzie Albin at suzie_albin@ddsd40.orgThe District has many resources for our families, please reach out if you are in need.

Physicals Insurance Coverage

All 6th, 7th, & 8th grade players MUST have current physicals on file at school

A place to get a free or low cost physical, depending on your insurance, is the David Douglas Health Clinic from Multnomah County located at the David Douglas High School North Campus (behind the pool). For more information please see:

All players must have insurance.  The David Douglas School District carries no athletic insurance for Community Sports and/or Recreation programs and does not assume responsibility for injuries sustained in practice or games.  If insurance coverage for injuries is desired, such insurance coverage is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Volunteer Coaching

Volunteer coaches are a valuable and appreciated part of the Community Sports and Recreation program. Let us know if you are interested in coaching (head or assistant coach). One volunteer head coach per team can have their child’s registration fee waived. To coach, all volunteers must clear a background check and complete the SafeSchools training program online. For more information, please contact your school secretary.
