Football 3rd-8th grades
We will be participating in the Pop Warner football league this season, which will allow our teams to compete against programs such as Centennial, Portland Steelers, Evergreen, North County (Battle Ground), and Vancouver. This means some games will require travel to these different locations. Most games will be played on Saturdays, however there may be a few teams that only have field availability on Sundays, so a limited number of games could be scheduled on that day as well. Youth football leagues can be expensive, and this partnership helps provide families with a more affordable option while still being part of a well-organized league overseen by a governing board.
There are not a lot of programs in our area that offer flag football, so we are really hoping for a strong turnout this season. Our goal is to be able to play inter-district competition, similar to what we do with other community sports and recreation programs at this age level, giving kids a fun and competitive experience against neighboring communities.
As part of registration, families will need to provide proof of birthdate (such as a birth certificate or passport). There may also be an additional registration step after this sign-up due to our transition into the Pop Warner league; we will share more details as they become available. In addition, there will be a small football fee this year to help cover Pop Warner registration and league costs. The fee will not exceed $40, and the exact amount is still being finalized.
