Close Contact Definition:
In the K-12 Setting the Oregon Health Authority defines close contact as:
- Adults: Having been within 6 feet of a confirmed or presumptive COVID-19 case for 15 minutes or within one day.
- Students: Within 3-6 feet unmasked. When students who were within 3 to 6 feet of someone with COVID-19, were both engaged in consistent, correct use of well-fitting masks and other K–12 school prevention strategies (physical distancing, increased ventilation) are not considered exposed.
