The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act includes funding for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER III) fund.  Per ODE, this federal relief funding is a “significant opportunity for Oregon to provide support recovery from impacts of the pandemic and accelerate student achievement, to address student needs, and emerge stronger post-pandemic.”

The Integrated Planning Tool below is a preview of David Douglas School District’s preliminary plans for ESSER III.  The total allocation is $29,058,151.45 over three years.  Note that we have thus far finalized the budget for Year 1.  Budget decisions have been made with input from students, families, staff, the Board, and the community through various community engagement activities, events, surveys and meetings over the last several years.
