The purpose of the induction program is to provide logistical, emotional and teaching support to bridge a new teacher’s experience as a student to a professional.  Through this process, teachers will continue to strengthen their teaching practices, increase impact on student achievement and improve retention rates among early educators.

Specific strategies include (but are not limited to):

  • New Teacher Orientation
  • nEA (New Educator Academy)
  • Weekly individualized professional learning at the teacher’s site
  • Observations with feedback
  • Co-teaching
