The David Douglas Educational Foundation’s $5 Campaign is a simple and painless payroll deduction where employees are asked to contribute as little as $5 per month to the DDEF.
Half of the proceeds are used to provide students special needs that they may not otherwise be able to afford, such as emergency dental care, eye glasses or other needs that cannot be met by they or their families. The other half provides for special grant requests that do not meet the DDEF’s regular grant criteria. In the past this has paid for such things as resuscitation dummies, portable defibrillators, and travel expenses for the high school’s Rocket Club to attend the national championships.
