LICENSED POSITIONS FOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS

Thank you for your interest in the David Douglas School District. Teaching vacancies are first advertised to probationary and permanent District staff. Teaching vacancies open to external applicants will appear on the District website, TalentEd Recruit & Hire, and if necessary, placement services and newspapers. These postings are updated when new vacancies occur.

The David Douglas School District no longer accepts hard copy applications. Instead, we utilize the TalentEd Recruit & Hire website for all Licensed applications. The District will maintain and review a bank of applications that it receives through this website.

To be considered for a position, applicants must apply through this TalentEd Recruit & Hire website. Applicants must submit a completed application including the applicant’s Cover Letter, current Resume, and three (3) Letters of Recommendation. (Type or cut and paste your cover letter in the text box.  Please do not attach).  The Resume and Letters of Recommendation may be attached/uploaded.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications will be accepted until 4:00pm on the date of closing.

Following the job closing date, District officials will review applicant materials and contact those who will be given further consideration. The District may request additional materials if the applicant is a viable candidate for an open position.

After a candidate is selected, he or she is recommended for employment to the Human Resources department for final approval. Human Resources will review all materials and contact the administrator with the final decision on the candidate’s employment.

The District will not accept unsolicited application materials for non-posted positions. PLEASE DO NOT SEND TRANSCRIPTS OR LICENSE.

LICENSED POSITIONS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS

Current Contract, Probationary and Temporary District Teachers who possess the proper certification and wish to be considered for a transfer to a posted job must complete the Licensed Letter of Interest application on TalentEd Recruit & Hire website. Click the word “Internal” found at the top right side of the log-in screen. You will need to do some minimal set up. You will then be transferred to the on-line Licensed Letter of Interest application to be considered for a current open position. You may copy and paste your Letter of Interest where indicated in the application.

CLASSIFIED POSITIONS

When you log into TalentEd you will need to click on the word “Internal” which is on the very top right of the log-in screen. You will need to do some minimal set up, then you will eventually be transferred to the online Classified Transfer Request Form to be considered for a current open position.

“Highly Qualified” and the Paraprofessional Test

The definition of “Highly Qualified” for the David Douglas School District is; having either a four year or two year college diploma, working on a college diploma having completed 48 semester or 72 quarter hours, or successful completion of the David Douglas School District’s Paraprofessional test. The paraprofessional test contains sections with general math, reading, writing, and professional conduct. Our test is in multiple choice format and applicants have two hours to complete the test.
