Floyd Light MS & Fir Ridge Campus Collaboration

FLMS FRC Collaboration Project Athlete/Competitor

Two DDSD schools recently worked on a very neat collaborative project together. At Floyd Light Middle School, Jeanne Drake’s 8th grade Advanced English students created very thoughtful poems about what it feels like to be 13/14 years old. Then Michelle Colbert’s art students, at Fir Ridge, created water color illustrations to accompany the poetry. When the projects were completed, the Floyd Light students were invited to Fir Ridge for an art walk and talk. There they were able to see the art and ask students about the process they went through to create the illustrations.
