Budget Meeting Notice (2nd Hearing)

The David Douglas School District Budget Committee had its first meeting on April 27, 2020 to consider the Proposed 2020-21 Budget. The District had previously posted a notice indicating a possible budget committee meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. The Budget Committee determined not to have a meeting on April 28th in order to allow the community more time to consider the Proposed Budget document and will hold additional public meeting(s) (to be available to watch live online at https://www.youtube.com/user/DavidDouglasSD/live) to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 on the following dates:

May 4th: Budget Committee Meeting/Testimony received. The Committee values input from our community and determined to have another meeting on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in order to provide an additional opportunity to receive public testimony. If you are interested in providing your input on the proposed budget, please contact the Business Office by emailing richard_contreras@ddsd40.org or calling (503) 261-8212 to schedule in advance.  Public comment will be taken in written and phone format; each format will be limited to three minutes per community member. Written testimony needs to be submitted by noon (12:00 pm) on Monday, May 4, 2020.  To schedule public comments by phone, please contact the Business Office at (503) 261-8212 or richard_contreras@ddsd40.org by noon on Monday, May 4, 2020. Written comments will be read during the public comment section of the meeting.

Deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Meetings may conclude on May 4th if the Budget Committee takes action to approve the 2020-21 Proposed Budget.

May 5th: Budget Committee Meeting, if and as needed. Public testimony, submitted using the contact information and by the deadlines described above, may be received at this meeting if not concluded in the May 4th meeting. Meetings will conclude on this date if the Budget Committee takes action to approve the 2020-21 Proposed Budget.

A copy of the 2020-21 Proposed Budget document may be inspected or obtained at http://www.ddouglas.k12.or.us (at the Home page select District, then Business Operations, then Financials).
