The David Douglas School District is developing a long range plan for our facilities, including potential remodels, safety improvements, major repairs, new construction or replacements. The intent is to narrow the scope to projects most needed and develop estimated costs.
Teams have been meeting and planning over the past several months. A virtual community meeting was held Oct. 26, and a poll was recently conducted of our community.
A proposed Long Range Facility Plan will be presented to the School Board during its 7 p.m. Nov. 12 meeting. The School Board will determine whether to accept the plan and whether to place a facilities construction bond measure on the ballot sometime in 2021.
