To Our David Douglas Community:
During the past two months, the District has been developing a long-term Strategic Plan. We assembled a 25-member steering committee, heard from you last month in a virtual community meeting, held several targeted focus groups, and 1,238 of you completed our Strategic Plan survey.
Now we need your input one more time to get us across the finish line. With your help, we’ve narrowed the District’s focus for the next 5-6 years to four general areas: 1) Diversity, equity and inclusion; 2) Communication and engagement; 3) Health and well-being; and 4) Highly effective instruction.
Did we get it right? Is this where our focus should be? Please join us from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 for a virtual community meeting and let us know.
The link below is your Zoom meeting invitation to join us. Please go to this link at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Spanish and Vietnamese Interpreters will be available at the meeting
It is essential that we build our plan for the future of David Douglas in collaboration with the entire community, and we want to invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
With your help, our goal is to present a draft Strategic Plan to the David Douglas School Board for approval during its December 10 meeting.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you virtually next Tuesday.
