The theater department has done a remarkable job producing two shows under these circumstances. Now they need community support! It’s a challenging time for ticket sales. Plan a night of theater – in or out! One show is being performed in-person and the other streamed online.

Since March

The Student Experience of 2020

In-person performance

This show is an original, student-created play that chronicles what life has been like for David Douglas High School students since March of 2020. It was developed from student interviews and is ALL from the students’ perspectives. The play explores many topics including: COVID and quarantine, race and social justice, family and friends, politics, mental health, and more.

This performance is live and in-person for socially distant groups of 15 audience members at a time. Each audience group will tour our “Museum of 2020” with the help of our tour guides, with several tour start times each day. Please be aware that this play is similar to a short walking tour, taking place outdoors and requiring audience members to stand for the 40 minute duration.

• 6:30 pm on June 12th
• 2:30 pm on June 13th

Once these initial times book, additional show times will be added on these dates.
