Multnomah County Offers School Vaccine Clinics as Immunization Exclusion Day Approaches

News  /  Parents

Immunization Exclusion Day is right around the corner. If your student is missing school required vaccines, now is the time to catch up. The annual exclusion date, traditionally in February, was extended to April 20th this year.

Immunizations are required by state law for children and students in attendance at public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities and Head Start programs in Oregon. Read more about immunization requirements.

Nearly every facility that provides care for a child outside the home requires immunizations or a medical or non-medical exemption to stay enrolled.

If you did not meet state immunization requirements, you were sent a letter stating that your children must be immunized or will not be admitted to school starting on the school exclusion date.

School required vaccines are available at Multnomah County Student Health Centers. Visit their website for more details and view the following flyers to learn about upcoming vaccine clinics. In addition to school required vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations are available at the clinics and Student Health Centers.
