About the New Mathematics Adoption
Throughout the year, a team of teachers from each of our schools have been researching, evaluating, and are now field-testing the new Math curriculum for K-12 students. We have narrowed it down to two choices at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. The curriculum is the materials, textbooks and digital platforms that our students interact with on a daily basis, and that serve to support teacher instruction.
Now we need your feedback. Family and stakeholder input is an invaluable part of the curriculum selection process. We need to ensure that our curriculum serves all of our students equitably, allowing for robust learning while ensuring that our students interact with the materials positively.
To learn more about each curriculum, please explore the demo accounts and watch our community presentations. To provide feedback, complete our survey and share your priorities for our next Mathematics Curriculum by March 24th.
The adoption process operates on a seven year cycle. David Douglas School will begin using this new curriculum in the 2023-24 school year.
