Are you interested in helping guide our school bond construction projects?

As you know, voters in our school district approved a $140 million bond measure last November. Over the next few years, these funds will be used to make safety and other improvements to all of our buildings, create additional preschool space and build a new Futures Career Center at David Douglas High School, among other projects.

Learn more about the bond measure and planned projects here.

As promised, there will be community oversight on these projects and the spending to successfully accomplish them. The District is creating a Bond Oversight Committee made up of District residents to help guide and make recommendations about our bond projects going forward.

This committee will meet quarterly to discuss and analyze various bond projects and to report back to the School Board on planning and construction progress. The primary purpose of this committee is to ensure that bond money is spent in a way that is consistent with the voter-approved bond plans and with state law. This committee is open to any District resident.

If you are interested in serving on our Bond Oversight Committee, please submit an email sharing your interest and any relevant experience you would bring to the committee. You can send this email message anytime before Friday, Jan. 27 to
