On May 6, the David Douglas School District Budget Committee approved the District’s proposed budget of $429 million for the 2024–2025 school year. The budget now moves to the District School Board, which will vote on the final adoption of the 2024–25 budget during its regular meeting on Thursday, June 13.
The approved budget’s general fund pays for most day-to-day programming and salaries. The budget general fund is about $152 million, a significant $12.6 million increase over the current fiscal year’s general fund.
