The David Douglas School District is seeking residents to fill two open positions on its 2025 Budget Committee. This is a unique opportunity for community members to participate in shaping the district’s budget for the next school year.
About the Budget Committee: The committee is composed of 14 members: seven current School Board members and seven appointed community members. The committee’s role is to review and approve a budget for School Board adoption; however, it does not set programs, only spending levels.
Requirements for Applicants:
- Must be a resident of the David Douglas School District
- Must be a U.S. citizen and a registered voter
- Term: 3 years
Meeting Schedule: The 2025 Budget Committee will meet on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., with additional meetings on May 7 and May 12 if needed. The budget must be adopted by June 30, 2025.
