Celebrating Arab American Heritage Month

April is Arab American Heritage Month, a time to recognize and honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of Arab Americans in our schools and beyond. At DDSD, we celebrate the diversity that strengthens our community and appreciate the voices and perspectives of our Arab American students, families, and staff.

National Assistant Principals Week—April 7-11

School Librarian Appreciation Day—April 4

School librarians play a crucial role in fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning. On April 4, we recognize their dedication to providing students with the knowledge and resources to succeed. Thank you to our amazing school librarians for making a difference every day!


Paraprofessional Appreciation Day—April 3

Paraprofessionals are essential to student success, providing classroom support and individualized assistance to help learners thrive. On April 3, we honor their dedication and the impact they have on our students and schools.


School Bus Driver Appreciation Day—April 22

Our school bus drivers safely transport students to and from school, ensuring they start and end their day on a positive note. On April 22, we recognize their commitment and thank them for their essential role in our district.
