The Grow Your Own (GYO) program empowers district staff to become future educators, building a stronger, more representative teaching workforce from within our own community.
Being a part of the Grow Your Own program is no small feat. Participants have to juggle working in our district with college coursework and the complexities of life. Considering this, completing the Grow Your Own program is an incredible achievement. It has meant years of evening zoom classes, late nights doing homework, missed family and social events, self-doubt and sacrifice. Throughout it all, it has meant a commitment to our students, community. This year, we are celebrating the largest number of GYO graduates and completers since the beginning of the program in 2019.
