OPB’s “Class of 2025” Documentary Complete: Featuring David Douglas Students

Community Graduating seniors in red robes form the letters "DD" on a football field, overlaid with a white video play button.

The David Douglas School District is deeply proud to be featured in OPB’s powerful long-term documentary project, Class of 2025: Growing Up In Oregon Schools. This series began in 2012, sparked by Oregon’s ambitious goal to achieve a 100% high school graduation rate by 2025.

To track this goal, the project followed 25 students from kindergarten through graduation, and it includes several students from David Douglas High School. The final episode has recently been released, completing this historic series and giving our community a unique window into the growth, success, and resiliency of students navigating the modern educational landscape.

The documentary is particularly insightful for the David Douglas community because it places real student experiences, from our hallways and classrooms, at the heart of the statewide conversation on education goals.
