Welcome to the 2024-25 School Year!

As the new academic year approaches, our staff is eagerly preparing to welcome students back to school. To help your family transition smoothly, we’ve gathered some essential information below.

First Week Schedule

The school year kicks off on September 2024, with a gradual entry schedule for students. Check out the detailed first-week schedule to see when your child’s first day will be.

Please note: We have made the difficult decision to delay the start of the school year for Gilbert Heights Elementary students due to unexpected delays in the bond construction work currently taking place at that school.

We use ParentSquare for all District and school-level communications. Activating your ParentSquare account is crucial for staying connected. We Are Here For You Family Flowchart

We value our collaboration with our families, and if you have any questions or concerns or need support, we are here to help. Visit your school website to find our translated flowcharts with contact information.

David Douglas School District offers free breakfast and lunch to all K-12 students. Visit the Nutrition Services webpage for menus, nutrition details, and updates on meal services.

School Board Meetings

The David Douglas School Board meets at least once a month, typically on the second Thursday. Additional work sessions may be held on the fourth Thursday of the month. View the meeting schedule and learn more about the School Board meetings.
