• Permit has been issued.
• Contractor has mobilized to site.
• Project is currently on schedule.

Current Construction Timeline

Current Project Status

• Scheduled for construction over the next two summers.
• The permit has been issued; however, it does not include the required tree inspection.
• During the review process, the arborist reports were inadvertently missed by the plan reviewer. As a result, a tree inspection cannot be scheduled at this time. The plan reviewer is working to resolve this issue within the week.
• No immediate delays are anticipated, as inspections are not currently needed.
• The school building will be closed for the summer.

• Permit is under review with City of Portland.
• Added HVAC and Seismic upgrades to this scope of work with grant funds.
• Bond scope will be Summer 2025, along with added seismic upgrade scope.
• HVAC scope will be moved to 2026 due to large volume of work and condensed
  Summer schedule, project will utilize the CM/GC delivery method.
• Contractor will mobilize to the site on June 16, 2025.

Project Updates

This project is out to bid and will be brought for Board approval in February. Note that we have split this
into two projects for summer 2025 and summer 2026.

December 2024

Project Updates

We are working on plans for the HVAC replacement, seismic upgrade, remodeling specialist spaces, window upgrades and some roofing replacement. We are currently determining the best way to spread this work over two summers. The amount of work is simply too much to complete within 9 weeks in summer.

November 2024

  • Pre-design phase is nearing completion. 
  • Added HVAC and Seismic upgrades to this scope of work with grant funds.
  • Goal is to impact the staff/student as least as possible.
  • Project will have a second phase for electrical upgrade and cooling start-up due to long lead procurement items.

All Educational Facility Sites: Intercom & Clocks

• Construction is scheduled to commence in June 2024 and be substantially completed in July 2026. This scope will be at all educational facilities and will be completed over the next three summers. 
• Target Completion date: Fall of 2024
• Finalizing standards with DDSD stakeholders and the design teams.
