• Permit has been issued.
• Early work in May has greatly benefitted project schedule. Currently in PGE queue for inspection and energization of new electrical gear.
• Contractor has mobilized to site.
• Project is currently on schedule.
• Project will not require a second phase for cooling components due to CM/GC

• Contractor will mobilize to the site on June 16, 2025.
• Early work in May will occur to ensure successful electrical upgrade.
• GMP has been established.
• Project will not require a second phase for cooling components due to CM/GC
  procurement process.

  • Electrical scope buyout is complete, long lead items have been ordered. 
  • Buyout for all remaining divisions is 95% complete, initial GMP is at/under budget. 
  • Project will not require a second phase for cooling components due to CM/GC procurement process.

Project Updates

West Powellhurst renovation designs are in process and include replacing the HVAC system, remodeling specialist spaces, adding a secure vestibule, and replacing the fire alarm system. We will be removing and reinstalling classroom casework as well as looking at an alternate for VRF integration.

November 2024

  • Design phase is complete.
  • Electrical scope buyout is complete, long lead items have been ordered. 
  • Mechanical bidding is in process. 
  • Goal is to impact the staff/student as least as possible.
  • Project will not require a second phase for cooling components due to CM/GC procurement process. 

May 2024

• Current Project Status –
  • Proceeding into Design Development (DD) phase
  • Selected Howard S. Wright through an RFP process for CMGC services.
  • Targeting middle of June 2024, to bid out all long lead items with the CMGC contractor, then bid all the remaining scopes out in November 2024.
  • Goal is to impact the staff/student as least as possible

• Construction is scheduled to commence in June 2024 and be substantially completed in July 2026. This scope will be at all educational facilities and will be completed over the next three summers. 
• Target Completion date: Fall of 2024
• Finalizing standards with DDSD stakeholders and the design teams.
