City of Portland Water Discount Program
Customers responsible for paying a Portland Water Bureau residential sewer/stormwater/water bill, and whose household income is less than 60% of the Portland Median Family Income (MFI), may be eligible for a discount on their bill. Eligible customers experiencing a crisis may also receive up to $500 in assistance once every 12 months.

Resources for Grandparents
The Family Caregiver Support Program serves grandparents and other non-parent relatives, age 55 and older by linking them to:
- Programs which may provide financial assistance
- Educational opportunities
- Grandparent support groups
- After-school activities for their children

Oregon Homeowner Help
- Oregon Homeowner Help is an official state resource that provides information and assistance to residents facing housing-related financial challenges or foreclosure. The platform connects homeowners with certified housing counselors and outlines various support programs, such as the Homeowner Assistance Fund and the Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance Program.
- Homeowners who have suffered a financial hardship and are struggling to keep up with their mortgage should visit their website.
Child Tax Credit
The Child Tax Credit helps families with qualifying children get a tax break. You may be able to claim the credit even if you don’t normally file a tax return.
- The Child Tax Credit (CTC) is a non-refundable credit that allows people with a qualifying child to reduce their tax liability.
- The Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) is a refundable part of the CTC. ACTC allows certain taxpayers who are eligible for the CTC to receive a refund if the CTC is more than their tax liability.
- Credit for Other Dependents (ODC) is a non-refundable credit for taxpayers with dependents who are not eligible for the CTC/ACTC.
