The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program:

10,000 Tablets is a project in partnership with Connecting Portland, Portland Forward & Sano Health, as a certified distributor of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), formally EBB. We are working with community leaders to provide a smart tablet device with free unlimited internet access to 10,000 eligible income-constrained households in the Portland Metro area.

For a one-time co-payment of $10.01*, those who qualify will receive a Samsung tablet, with 5 years of unlimited service, through Verizon. Visit the 10,000 Tablets website to learn if you are qualified.

    • Joining via Phone
      • Step 1: Download the Zoom app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
      • Step 2: Search for the Zoom meeting app. Look for the blue video camera icon.
      • Step 3: Download the Zoom app.
      • Step 4: Open your email and click on the link that you received for the meeting and join!
    • Calling In (Audio Only)
      • Step 1: Open your email.
      • Step 2: Find the phone number in the Zoom invite: (XXX)-XXX-XXXX.
      • Step 3: Click on that number and join the call.
    • Joining via Computer
      • Step 1: Open your email.
      • Step 2: Find the email from us and click the link.
      • Step 3: Choose how you want to join the meeting and join!
      • (Note: You may be prompted to “Open Zoom Meetings” in a browser pop-up.)

    • Joining the Meeting
      • Step 1.:Open the Zoom App: Tap the blue Zoom icon on your mobile device.
      • Step 2: Start or Join: On the home screen, tap the blue Join a Meeting button.
      • Step 3: Enter Meeting ID: Type the 10 or 11-digit Meeting ID into the top field.
      • Step 4: Confirm: Tap the blue Join Meeting button to enter the room.
    • Selecting Your Language (Interpretation)
    • Once you are in the meeting, you can listen to a live translator by following these steps:
      • Step 1: More Options: Tap the More icon (three dots …) at the bottom right of your screen.
      • Step 2: Language Interpretation: From the menu that appears, select Language Interpretation.
      • Step 3: Choose Language: Tap your preferred language (for example, Spanish).
      • Step 4: Save Settings: Tap Done at the top right of the screen to return to the meeting with the translator’s audio active.
